Joanna started her career as a trainee in 2023 at MBaer and has been actively involved in ensuring high-quality management within the CDQM team since September 2024.

After successfully supporting the establishment of this department, she is now responsible for process optimization and ensuring data quality across various areas, such as tax classifications. Additionally, she actively contributes to various projects.

Key professional milestones

Entering the professional world

Joanna gained her first professional experiences during her school years through a part-time job at Confiserie Teuscher. After graduating from Kantonsschule Hottingen in 2018, she decided to pursue a career in the hospitality industry. During a gap year before university, she worked as a service staff member at Pumpstation Gastro GmbH, covering two summer seasons and one winter season.

After her first semester of studies, Joanna had the opportunity to work for three months in the field at the start-up Focus Water, which was later acquired by Rivella. Additionally, as part of her studies, she completed an internship as a Project Manager in the start-up sector at the venture studio Haddock.

In the final semester of her Bachelor's degree, Joanna joined MBaer’s trainee program in April 2023, marking her entry into the banking world. During her 1.5-year trainee program, she gained extensive experience, working as a Test Manager in a company-wide project and spending three months gaining insights into the Investment Team.

Currently, Joanna supports MBaer in the development of the new "Client Data Quality Management" department. She applies her expertise and energy to ensure the highest standards of data quality.

Volunteer Work

During her school years, Joanna volunteered with the Swiss Red Cross, supporting children with their homework and assisting in organizing a summer camp. At the University of St. Gallen, she joined the student organization IGNITE Movement, took on the role of Head of Events, and organized weekly case studies, events with various companies, and the annual conference.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree in management and economics at the University of Zurich (UZH)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG)
  • High school diploma with a focus on Economics and Law from "Kantonsschule Hottingen”

Joanna is fluent in German, English and French.
